Our coordinator, Vic Zaum, is keen to keep the sessions as friendly and easy-going as possible, but does like to keep the players on their toes by introducing new ideas.  On most afternoons the players at a table can choose their own method of scoring (e.g. Rubber, Chicago, etc) and just keeping to their cosy four, but sometimes Vic changes the scoring system, introduces ‘musical chairs’ (which results in different partners) and occasionally adds the lure of Prizes!  The important thing is that we don’t take it too seriously, the emphasis is on enjoyment.  On occasions, Vic organises a discussion on one aspect of playing Bridge, perhaps a bidding or playing technique ...... but only for about five minutes.
