Our History of London 1 group recently ventured out to Stratford to visit this exciting new museum, run by the Victoria and Albert Museum. They say: "The V&A East is an extraordinary museum unlike any other we've ever visited. Normally we know what we want to see in an exhibition or museum. But this collection and the way it's arranged meant that many of the group wandered around stopping at artefacts, which interested them. We thought it would help visitors to have some guidance about where categories of objects could be found, e.g. a 'furniture' trail' or a 'ceramics trail'. But, overall, we all really enjoyed the experience - but one visit was probably enough for some of us!
