Group Description

We are a small group interested in reading French Literature both classical and contemporary. We have covered a whole range of books including modern thrillers, historical novels, various “who dunnits” and some very charming stories. It is a good way to improve knowledge of French history, language and culture. We take it in turns to read aloud passages from the books and sometimes agree to read on at home if the book is very long. We choose the books ourselves and purchase them ourselves. We discuss the books mostly in English but Members need to be able to read and understand French at a fairly good standard.
