Group Description
“When a man is tired of London he is tired of life” as Dr Johnson famously once said. This large and lively group proves him wrong as our aim is to explore and enjoy the best of London’s culture and history, especially sights we may have always wondered about but never found the time to visit.
We have visited a wide variety of interesting places. For example, the Royal Academy of Music (where we enjoyed their fascinating collection of musical instruments and a recital given by the students), a narrowboat cruise along the Regent’s Canal (where some of us relaxed while others energetically handled the lock mechanisms) and a symphonic concert of Queen songs at the Royal Albert Hall.
Usually, about ten of us go on each outing, some of whom meet up to travel into town together. After the visit, we enjoy a sociable lunch nearby.
If this group is currently full you can either contact the group coordinator to join a waiting list or contact the Groups Coordinator to join a waiting list for a new group, which we will endeavour to set up as soon as we get enough interest.
