Group Description
This group is for those with a basic knowledge of Pilates who are looking for a gentler class. We can integrate beginners into the group from time to time, when there is a vacancy. Members need to be able to get down onto the floor and up again without assistance, and are required to lie on their back, front and side as some of the exercises are on a mat. Our teacher, Maria Vasiliou, is a well-qualified, attentive and knowledgeable instructor.
The focus of class is on getting the body moving, increasing joint mobility, strengthening the main muscle groups and doing weight-bearing exercises to help improve bone health.
We use equipment during most classes to provide resistance and support to help achieve a proper body alignment and to help establish good balance.
Please note that from Monday 15th January, Pilates 9 is going start at the earlier time of 09.45am.

If this group is currently full you can either contact the group coordinator to join a waiting list or contact the Groups Coordinator to join a waiting list for a new group, which we will endeavour to set up as soon as we get enough interest.
