Group Description

We read one book per month, and meet on the last Wednesday morning of each month at different members' homes to discuss it, whether we enjoyed or not, its literary merits, the issues raised, other similar works, etc. We read classical and modern books, fiction and non-fiction, and occasional biographies and autobiographies too. Our members choose what we will read based on recommendations from their own readings or of friends, from review guides, lists of classic or modern works "everyone should read", etc., etc.
