Group Description

This intermediate level bridge group meets using the online software  ♠♥ RealBridge ♦♣. This combines the benefits of playing bridge online (such as BBO and other systems) with the social interaction you would get from a Zoom meeting. So you can chat to the others round the table while you play in the same way you would normally.  The photo below shows what you see on your laptop or tablet.

It's also very good for teaching purposes as the leader can join a table and provide help when requested. Our director facilitates a weekly ‘chat’ on topics of interest within play.

This group plays duplicate bridge and is affiliated to the English Bridge Union (EBU). We do expect all players to be of intermediate standard or above; i.e. know the basics of the Acol bidding system (or equivalent) and be able to play the cards at a reasonable pace. A bridge partner is not required.
