Group Description

In this group, we take turns to give short presentations about those women who have made – or are currently making – a huge, positive difference to the world. This could be the suffragettes, the ‘Hidden Figures’ who played a vital role in the 1960s space race or ‘unsung heroines’ like Ann Ming, whose determination recently changed a 600-year-old law on double jeopardy. We occasionally arrange outings to relevant locations. You don’t need any particular skills; just an interest to find out more about remarkable women.
