Get Golfing, Community Golf Café, Arkley 9 Golf Club

Want to improve your swing or develop a swing from scratch? Get Golfing is a charity that aims to improve lives through golf, reduce barriers to playing and help more people feeling part of the golfing community.
They are offering u3a members the opportunity to attend fortnightly sessions (two per month) at Arkley 9 Golf Club, Rowley Green Road, Barnet, EN5 3HL. Dates and times to be confirmed when a group is established.
Sessions will include golf activities and games in a social environment, with the opportunity to connect with new people on a regular basis.
Arkley 9 has a 18-hole course, putting green, driving nets, and a sociable clubhouse serving food and drink. The club welcomes golfers of all abilities and aims to support beginners as they develop their skills.  For more infomation click here.

Tai Chi 5 - Beginners

We are delighted to say we can start a Beginners Tai Chi Group  Starting January 6th, 2027, on a Wednesday at 11.30 a.m. -12.30 p.m. making it Tai Chi 5.  The classes are for 1 hour each. Located at St Mary the Immaculate & St Peters Church Hall, Somerset Road, EN5 1RF. Jewellery Making 4

Would you like to learn the basics of making simple bead jewellery? We use beads, thread, wire, fabrics and even waste materials. You will need a few tools and the materials will be built up over time. We will mostly make necklaces, bracelets and earrings but also keyrings, bookmarks and anything that can be made with beads. You might have seen examples of what can be made at the Jewellery Sale at the Monthly Meeting last November. We have a volunteer to teach the new group but we would need someone to help with admin - plus some enthusiastic 'makers'. Please contact Groups Coordinator on Groups Coordinator.
