Early October Walk

Some of us from the  Walks Longer 3 group enjoyed the blue skies and sunshine on the group's early October walk.

Peter was our volunteer leader and we met at North Greenwich tube station. We travelled over the River Thames on the cable car, so basically sat down for the beginning of the walk and enjoyed the spectacular views!

We then walked along the north bank of the Thames and took the Woolwich ferry back to the south side. At the Thames Barrier we paused to consume whatever snack (or not) which we had brought with us, while enjoying the warm sunshine.

We then walked back to North Greenwich where some of us dived into a café and others got straight onto the tube and headed home .

The walk was a very interesting seven and a half miles long and made a change from our usual countryside/park/woodland walks.
