Groups looking for members...

Bowls and Croquet
We are hoping to start up again in mid-April. Both groups are always happy to welcome new members. For more information, please click Croquet and Bowls Outdoor 1

Art History and Appreciation 5
We'd welcome some more members to this group. We look at all types and periods of art; this year we are focusing on the 20th century. We choose a theme for each meeting, e.g. seasons, women artists, colours, a particular artist or type of media. Members volunteer to prepare and present a short illustrated talk about any aspect of the topic they are interested in. It's a great way to share ideas and discover art and artists you may not be familiar with. For more information, please click to contact Jane.

Bowls Outdoors 2
Oak Hill Bowls Club is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year and invites you to join this new group specially for Bu3a members. It would meet at Oak Hill Park, East Barnet, on Fridays from 2-4pm during the summer season with three free coaching sessions followed by £5 per session. The club provides everything you need to play; you just need a pair of flat soled shoes. Playing bowls in this lovely setting (see above) is good for your health and soul, surprisingly addictive - and great fun! Interested? Please click here to contactPeter.

Arts and Crafts Upcycling
Do you have old jewellery, fabrics, canvases, paintings, jam jars, cardboard, plastic, shells, or other items lying around that you no longer use? Instead of throwing them away, why not transform them into something beautiful? Through creative techniques such as collage, mosaic or papier-mâché, we will learn how to reimagine everyday objects into unique works of art. This class is designed especially for people who love to stay creative, social and inspired. We aim to re-start the group in April, and would meet at Brookside Methodist Church Hall, East Barnet from 10.30am - 12.30pm on Monday, Thursday or Friday (please let us know your availability) and there will be a charge.
